The Guided Script menu provides access to functions that apply to the certification of a client.

The Guided Script menu is visible and enabled when:

It has a mnemonic of "G".

If you do not have sufficient permission to access a menu option on the Guided Script menu, a standard error message (E0006) displays when the menu option is selected.

Menu Elements

Unless otherwise stated below, all menu options on the Guided Script menu are visible and enabled when:

If one or more special conditions exist that affect a menu option on the Guided Script menu, the condition(s) are documented for that specific menu option below.

Demographics menu option

Select this menu option to record demographic information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "D".

The Demographic Information screen displays when the menu option is selected.

EBT Household Demographics menu option

Select this menu option to view and maintain Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) demographic information for the household.

It does not have a mnemonic.

An attempt to establish a connection to the EBT Processor system occurs when the menu option is selected. If the attempt is unsuccessful, a standard error message (E0393) displays.

Otherwise, the EBT Household Demographics screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Health Information menu option

Select this menu option to record health information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "I".

The Health Information screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Height, Weight, and Blood Work menu option

Select this menu option to record height, weight, and blood work information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "H".

The Height/Weight and Blood Work Information screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Immunizations menu option

Select this menu option to record immunization information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "Z".

The Immunizations screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Nutrition Assessment menu option

Select this menu option to record nutrition assessment information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "K".

The Nutrition Assessment screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Risk Factors/High Risk menu option

Select this menu option to record risk factor information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "S".

The Assign Certification Risk Factors screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Referrals/Other Programs menu option

Select this menu option to record client referrals to and participation in other programs.

It has a mnemonic of "O".

The Referrals and Other Programs screen displays when selected.

Nutrition Education menu option

Select this menu option to record nutrition education information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "N".

The Nutrition Education Contact screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Food Prescription menu option

Select this menu option to record food prescription information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "F".

The Food Prescriptions screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Add SOAP Notes menu option

Select this menu option to record a Subjective Objective Assessment Plan (SOAP) note for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "A".

The Add SOAP Note screen displays when the menu option is selected.

CPA-determined Follow-up menu option

Select this menu option to record CPA-determined follow-up information for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "P".

The CPA-determined Follow-up screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Issue Benefits menu option

Select this menu option to issue food instrument benefits to the client.

It has a mnemonic of "U".

The Issue Benefits screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Determine the PFDTU

When the Issue Benefits process is started, the system determines if the certification effective date is after the originally calculated PFDTU. If it is, and if the CLN_PromptForPFDTUAdjustment business rule is set to "Y", the Multiple PFDTU Dates Available screen displays to allow the user to adjust the original PFDTU to the originally calculated PFDTU if necessary.

Review Certification for Errors menu option

Select this menu option to review the client's Certification for errors.

It has a mnemonic of "R".

The Review Certification for Errors process begins when selected, and, if errors are found, the Event Log - Review Certification for Errors screen displays.

End Certification Process menu option

Select this menu option to complete the client's Certification if no errors exist. This allows you to end the certification attempt without issuing benefits for the client in circumstances where benefits would not be issued even though the client is certified.

It has a mnemonic of "E".

Upon selection of the End Certification Process menu option, if the user does not have the appropriate permissions (Certification.FullControl), the system displays the E0006 standard error message.

If the user has necessary permissions (Certification.FullControl), the system will run the Review Certification for Errors process. If errors are found, the Event Log - Review Certification for Errors screen displays when selected if the user has the appropriate permissions.

When the edits are satisfied, the system displays the I0013 standard information message. The system will then determine if the participant is adjunctively, presumptively, or income eligible for WIC benefits. In addition, the system will determine if at least one (1) risk factor was assigned to the participant for the current certification attempt. If the client is ineligible, the Mark Applicant as Ineligible screen displays when selected.

If the client is eligible, the system will determine if the participant meets the criteria to be served in case of a Waiting List situation. If the client does not meet the currently serving criteria for the WIC program, the Add Applicant to Waiting List screen displays when selected.

Otherwise, when the participant is found to be eligible and is not placed on the Waiting List, the certification process is completed and the Applicant is Certified screen displays when selected.

Close Certification menu option

Select this menu option to place the client's certification on hold so that it can be completed at a later time and close Certification Guided Script screen.

It has a mnemonic of "C".

The Participant Folder screen displays when the menu option is selected.
