In this scenario, you will use the Notes screen to manage a vendor's notes. The note creation functionality of the Vendor Management application provides the ability to capture information that is not captured elsewhere within the system.

Complete the following steps to perform this scenario:
1. Display the Vendor List screen.

NOTE: This Vendor List screen displays upon the completion of the Login process. |

NOTE: The Vendor List data grid displays vendors as determined by the search criteria applied to the list. Click a vendor record in the data grid to select it. |
2. Search for a vendor's record. (For more detail, see the Searching for a Vendor scenario.)
3. Select the vendor record in the Vendor List data grid.
4. Click the Open Vendor Folder toolbar button (pictured below). The Vendor Folder screen displays for the selected vendor.
5. Click the Notes tab. The Notes tab displays.
6. Click the Add button. The Note screen displays.
7. Select the Staff member entering the note.
8. Enter a note into the Note text box and click OK. The Notes tab displays.

NOTE: It is a good idea to include the date in your text when adding a note. |

NOTE: When you click OK, the note you just entered will be added to the Notes data grid. |
9. Select the note you just added from within the Notes data grid and click Edit. The Note screen displays.
10. Select the Staff member editing the note.

NOTE: For training purposes, the entry under Staff will be the same. Outside of training, enter the staff member name adding or editing a note as necessary under Staff. |
11. Edit the text of the note and click OK. The Notes tab displays.

NOTE: The Notes data grid is refreshed to display the updated note. |
12. Select the note that you want to view within the Notes data grid. The complete text of the selected note displays in the text box below the data grid.

NOTE: The Description displays the first few words in a note and does not display the complete note. Selecting the note allows you to read the entire note documented within the vendor’s folder. |
13. Select a Note from within the Notes data grid and click Delete. A standard confirmation message displays confirming your request.
14. Click Yes to confirm your decision to delete the selected note.
15. Click Close. The Vendor List screen displays. You are ready to work with other vendor records.

Congratulations! You have successfully added, edited, viewed, and deleted vendor notes from within a vendor record. You accomplished this by
Searching for and selecting an applicant in the Vendor List.
Open the applicant’s folder and selecting the Notes tab.
Adding, editing, viewing, and deleting vendor notes.
Returning to the Vendor List screen to work with other vendors.
