The View System Access Log screen is used to view all or part of the contents of the system access log, depending on what filter criteria is defined. The user may print the contents of the system access log to a printer. The user may also purge the system access log from this screen.

Unless otherwise stated below, all controls on the View System Access Log screen are visible and enabled when:
The screen is active.
If one or more special conditions exist that affect a control on the View System Access Log screen, the condition(s) are documented for that specific control below.
Complete the information in the Users group box.
This group box includes controls that allow you to filter the system access log by users. The title text of the radio button group is set to "Users". The following controls are included in the group box:
All radio button
Select this radio button to show login activity for all users of the application.
If your computer does not have enough memory available to display all the results, a standard error message (E0338) displays.
Single User radio button and drop-down list box
Select this radio button to show login activity for a single, specific user of the application. Then select an option from the Single User drop-down list box.
The control is enabled when:
The Single User radio button is selected.
Complete the information in the Date group box.
This radio button group includes controls that allow you to filter the system access log by date. The title text of the group box is set to "Date". The group box consists of the following control(s):
All radio button
Select this radio button to show the login activity that has occurred since the last time the system access log was purged.
If your computer does not have enough memory available to display all the results, a standard error message (E0338) displays.
When the All radio button is selected, the From and To calendar controls become disabled.
Range radio button
Select this radio button to search for and show in the data grid only records that were created during a specified date range.
When the Range radio button is selected, the From and To calendar controls become enabled.
From calendar control
Select or enter the date starting the date range in this calendar control.
The control is enabled when:
The Range radio button is selected.
The control is initially set to the date of the first system access log entry, when enabled.
The date selected or entered must be less than or equal to the current system date. If it is not, a standard error message (E0008) displays when the screen is processed.
To calendar control
Select or enter the date ending the date range in this calendar control.
The control is enabled when:
The Range radio button is selected.
The date selected or entered in the From and To calendar controls must be less than the current system date. If it is not, a standard error message (E0009) displays when the screen is processed.
Click the Apply Filter button to display the system access log entries matching the specified filter criteria.
When clicked, the System Access Log data grid is refreshed.
It has a mnemonic of "A".
If no records can be found to match the specified search criteria, a standard error message (E0050) displays when the Search button is clicked.
View the information in the System Access Log data grid.
This data grid contains each system access log entry that matches the filter criteria last defined when the Apply Filter button was clicked. The data grid is initially blank. The title text of the data grid is set to "System Access Log" The data grid contains a row for each log entry that matches the specified filter criteria. The records are sorted in descending order by the Date column and cannot be resorted.
The first record in the data grid is initially selected. The information in the data grid is read-only.
User Name column
This column displays the name of the user who accessed the application for each record displayed within the data grid.
The title of the column is set to "User Name". The information displayed within the column is read-only.
Date column
This column displays the date on which the record was recorded for each record displayed within the data grid.
The title of the column is set to "Date". The information displayed within the column is read-only.
Time In column
This column displays the time at which the user logged in to the application for each record displayed within the data grid.
The title of the column is set to "Time In". The information displayed within the column is read-only.
Time Out column
This column displays the time at which the user logged out for each record displayed within the data grid.
The title of the column is set to "Time Out". The information displayed within the column is read-only.
View the number of entries displayed as a result of the user defined filter criteria within the System Access Log data grid in the Total Entries in Log text and value label.
The value label will be filled with the value of the number of entries in the System Access Log data grid.
Information in this control is read-only and cannot be changed. The value label displays in the inverse color of the screen.
Click the Print button to generate the System Access Logon Report (Output) containing the information currently displayed in the System Access Log data grid.
The control is enabled when:
The data grid is populated with data.
It has a mnemonic of "P".
Click the Purge button to erase system access information prior to, but not including, the user defined date.
It has a mnemonic of "U".
The Purge System Access Log screen displays when the button is clicked.
The control is enabled when:
The screen is active.
It does not have a mnemonic. Its keyboard shortcut is the Esc (escape) key.
The System Administration screen displays when the button is clicked.
If data can be validated and saved on the screen, the following processes occur when the screen is processed:
A process to check for required controls as identified in the Data Map below is performed.
A process to check for valid entries as identified individually for each applicable control in Screen Elements above is performed.
A process to check for edits and cross edits as identified for each applicable control in Screen Elements above is performed.
If any checks or processes fail, a standard error message displays.
If no data can be validated and saved on the screen:
No cross edits are performed.
All values are considered legitimate.
No data is written to the database.
The Data Map defines the values saved for all controls on the screen. If available, any additional notes or comments are displayed in the Notes column.
