The Certification menu provides access to functions that apply to the current client.

The Certification menu is visible and enabled when:

It has a mnemonic of "C".

If you do not have sufficient permission to access a menu option on the Certification menu, a standard error message (E0006) displays when the menu option is selected.

Certification menu option

Select this menu option to start or continue a certification attempt for the current client.

It has a mnemonic of "C".

Select this menu option to assign certification risk factors for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "R".

Depending on the screen of the Participant Folder selected, the required entry edits and cross-edits for the controls on the screen are performed. These edits are defined in the respective sections for each screen.

When the menu option is selected, a check is performed to determine whether the logged-on user has the appropriate permissions to access the screen or perform the action. When the user does not have the appropriate permissions, a standard error message (E0006) displays.

The information on the screen is saved when all edits are satisfied and the Assign Certification Risk Factors screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Assign Risk Factors for VOC Certification menu option

Select this menu option to assign risk factors for a VOC certification.

It has a mnemonic of "O".

Depending on the screen of the Participant Folder selected, the required entry edits and cross-edits for the controls on the screen are performed. These edits are defined in the respective sections for each screen.

When the menu option is selected, a check is performed to determine whether the logged-on user has the appropriate permissions to access the screen or perform the action. When the user does not have the appropriate permissions, a standard error message (E0006) displays.

The information on the screen is saved when all edits are satisfied and the Assign Risk Factors for VOC Certification screen displays when the menu option is selected.

VOC Certification menu option

Select this menu option to certify the client for participation in the local WIC program using a valid Verification of Certification (VOC) document.

It has a mnemonic of "V".

When the menu option is selected, a check is performed to determine whether the logged-on user has the appropriate permissions to access the screen or perform the action. When the user does not have the appropriate permissions, a standard error message (E0006) displays.

Depending on the screen of the Participant Folder selected, the required entry edits and cross-edits for the controls on the screen are performed. These edits are defined in the respective sections for each screen.

The information on the screen is saved when all edits are satisfied and the VOC Certification screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Mid-certification Assessment menu option

Select this menu option to begin a mid-certification for the participant.

The menu option is enabled when:

It has a mnemonic of "M".

The system displays the C0072 standard confirmation message. The options of Yes and No are available. If the user clicks Yes, the system begins a new mid-certification assessment. The Participant Folder is completely disabled, the system sets the start date on the MidCertification table to the current system date. If the user clicks No, a mid-certification is not started.

If a mid-certification assessment was in progress, the system displays the Mid-certification Assessment screen with the previously completed links checked.

The Mid-certification Assessment screen displays when the menu option is selected.

Remove Incomplete Certification menu option

Select this menu option to remove an incomplete Certification for the client.

The menu option is enabled when:

It has a mnemonic of "I".

When an incomplete certification is removed after it has been linked to an initial contact record, the initial contact record is not deleted, but the Certification ID is removed.

When the menu option is selected, a check is performed to determine whether the logged-on user has the appropriate permissions to access the screen or perform the action. When the user does not have the appropriate permissions, a standard error message (E0006) displays.

A standard confirmation message displays when selected if the user has the appropriate permissions (Certification.FullControl). The system displays the C0016 standard confirmation message. If the user selects Yes the incomplete certification attempt is removed for this participant. If the user selects No the certification attempt remains in effect and the user is returned to the Participant Folder.

Remove Mid-certification Assessment menu option

Select this menu option to remove an incomplete mid-certification assessment for the client.

The menu option is enabled when:

The system displays the C0073 standard confirmation message. The options of Yes and No are available. If the user clicks Yes, the system removes the mid-certification assessment. If the user clicks No, the mid-certification is not removed.

Print Certification Notice menu option

Select this menu option to generate a Certification Notice document for the client.

It has a mnemonic of "P".

A Certification Notice document can only be generated for a client who has been certified for participation in the local WIC program. When the menu option is selected, a check is performed to determine whether the participant is in a valid certification period. If the participant is not in a valid certification period, a standard error message (E0041) displays.

The Certification Notice document is sent to the printer currently selected in the Documents drop-down list box on the Default Printers screen. If a Documents printer has not already been selected, a standard confirmation message (C0058) displays. The options of Yes and No are available. If the user clicks Yes, the system displays the Default Printers screen. If the user clicks No, the print attempt is cancelled and no notice is printed.
