EBT Card History

The EBT Card History screen is used to view the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card issuance and signature history for a household.

Screen Access

Display the Participant Folder screen for a client > On the Benefit Management menu, select View EBT Card History.

Interface Initialization

Upon initial display of the screen, the following occurs:

The title bar text is set to "EBT Card History".

The Close button is visible and enabled as the default.

If associated card history or signature records exist for the current household:

The Card History data grid is visible, enabled, and initially displays all Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards that have been issued to all participants within the household as well as any recorded and/or cancelled signature records for the household.

The first row in the data grid is initially selected as the default.

If a signature record is selected in the Card History data grid, the View Signature button is visible and enabled as the default. Otherwise, it is visible and disabled as the default.

If no associated card history or signature records exist for the current household:

The Card History data grid is visible, disabled, and initially blank as the default.

None of the rows in the data grid are initially selected as the default.

The View Signature button is visible and disabled as the default.

If one or more signature records exist for the current household but the most recent card history record created for the household in the SOAR EBT Processor system is past the card history date range currently specified within SOAR:

The Card History data grid is visible, enabled, and initially displays all recorded and/or cancelled signature records for the household. Since the most recent card history record created for the household in the SOAR EBT Processor system is past the card history date range currently specified within SOAR, no card history records display.

The first row in the data grid is initially selected as the default.

Informational Text is visible on the screen. The informational text displayed is read-only and cannot be changed.

The View Signature button is visible and enabled as the default.

If no signature records exist for the current household and the most recent card history record created for the household in the SOAR EBT Processor system is past the card history date range currently specified within SOAR:

The Card History data grid is visible, disabled, and initially blank as the default.

None of the rows in the data grid are initially selected as the default.

Informational Text is visible on the screen. The informational text displayed is read-only and cannot be changed.

The View Signature button is visible and disabled as the default.

Screen Elements

Unless otherwise stated below, all controls on the EBT Card History screen are visible and disabled when:

The screen is active.

If one or more special conditions exist that affect a control on the EBT Card History screen, the condition(s) are documented for that specific control below.

Household ID text and value label

View the current household identification number for the household in the Household ID text and value label.

Information in this control is read-only and cannot be changed. The value label displays in the inverse color of the screen.

Primary Cardholder text and value label

View the participant ID (if available) and name of the primary cardholder for the household in the Primary Cardholder text and value label.

Information in this control is read-only and cannot be changed. The value label displays in the inverse color of the screen.

Card History data grid

View the information in the Card History data grid.

The control allows the user to view the card issuance and/or signature history for the household. The data grid contains a row for each EBT card recorded for the household as well as any recorded and/or cancelled signature records that exist for the household.

The data grid consists of the following control(s):

Date/Time column

This column displays the date and time on which the on which the EBT card was issued for each record displayed within the data grid.

The title of the column is set to "Date/Time". The information displayed within the column is read-only.

Card Number column

This column displays the EBT card number for each record displayed within the data grid.

The title of the column is set to "Card Number". The information displayed within the column is read-only.

Status column

This column displays the current status for each record displayed within the data grid.

The title of the column is set to "Status". The information displayed within the column is read-only.

Primary column

This column indicates if the card is currently the primary card for the household for each record displayed within the data grid.

The title of the column is set to "?Primary?". The information displayed within the column is read-only.

Informational Text value label

View the informational text on the screen in the Informational Text value label. Informational text provides information about the current process being performed on the screen.

The informational text displays as follows:

"Card History records within the date range could not be loaded from the EBT Processor system."

The control is visible when:

If the most recent card history record created for the household in the SOAR EBT Processor system is past the card history date range currently specified within SOAR.

View Signature button

Click the View Signature button to view the details of a signature record associated with an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.

It has a mnemonic of "V".

The control is enabled when:

A signature record is selected in the Card History data grid.

The View Signature screen displays when the button is clicked.

Close button

Click the Close button to close the screen.

It does not have a mnemonic. Its keyboard shortcut is the Esc (escape) key.

The Participant Folder screen displays when the button is clicked.

Processing

If data can be validated and saved on the screen, the following processes occur when the screen is processed:

A process to check for required controls as identified in the Data Map below is performed.
A process to check for valid entries as identified individually for each applicable control in Screen Elements above is performed.
A process to check for edits and cross edits as identified for each applicable control in Screen Elements above is performed.
If any checks or processes fail, a standard error message displays.

If no data can be validated and saved on the screen:

No cross edits are performed.
All values are considered legitimate.
No data is written to the database.

Data Map

The Data Map defines the values saved for all controls on the screen. If available, any additional notes or comments are displayed in the Notes column.

~ Denotes a required control (if applicable). The process that checks for required controls does not occur on screens displayed in read-only or Details mode.
