CDP-37 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
Because the results returned on the Batch Issue Resolution screen were limited, the users requested the addition of a Next button on the screen. |
This reported issue was resolved by moving the process that previously occurred on demand on the Batch Issue Resolution screen into a nightly job to be run at the end of the day. The newly-created Batch Issue Resolution Administration nightly job is now visible and enabled in the Scheduled Jobs radio button group on the Scheduled Job Administration screen within the Scheduled Job Administration application module if the value of the UsesBatchIssuance equals "Y". (The new Batch Issue Resolution Administration radio button is not visible if the value of the UsesBatchIssuance equals "N".) Running the Batch Issue Resolution Administration job nightly preprocesses the data within the database in parallel with End of Day Processing instead of gathering and processing the data on demand when the request is made on the Batch Issue Resolution screen, which greatly reduces the amount of time required to populate the data on the screen. |
CDP-39 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
On the Batch Issue Resolution screen, the title of and the content displayed within the Ready column in the Batch Issue Resolution data grid was confusing. |
The Batch Issue Resolution screen in the Clinic application module of the SPIRIT WIC system was modified as follows:
The Batch Issue Resolution screen in the State Office application module of the SPIRIT WIC system was modified as follows:

CDP-40 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
Once started, the search process could not be cancelled manually on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
This reported issue was resolved by moving the process that previously occurred on demand on the Batch Issue Resolution screen into a nightly job to be run at the end of the day. CDP-41 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
The total number of records returned from the search process was not displayed on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to display the total number of records returned from a search process in a new # Records Returned text and value label on the following screens:
|
CDP-42 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
The Batch Issue Resolution screen did not have a Close button. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to include a new Close button on the following screens:
|
CDP-43 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
The Resolve Errors button should've been named "Open Participant Folder" on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to rename the Resolve Errors button as "Open Participant Folder" on the following screens:
|
CDP-44 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
The users wanted the ability to copy the content displayed in the State WIC ID column and the Household ID column in the Batch Issue Resolution data grid on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to allow the contents of the State WIC ID column and the Household ID column to be copied in the Batch Issue Resolution data grid on the following screens:
Users can now click directly on the cells within the columns and press Ctrl+C on the keyboard to copy the contents of the clicked cell. |
CDP-45 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
While performing the search process on the Batch Issue Resolution screen, the cursor was intermittently changing from the "busy" pointer to the "ready" pointer before the search process was completed. |
CDP-46 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
When the Batch Issue Resolution screen reported benefits eligibility errors for a participant, any errors that occurred after missing proof of ID, income, or residency were not displayed. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to allow the validation to continue past the pending proof error and to create future sets of benefits when necessary on the Batch Issue Resolution screen in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-48 |
Benefit Details |
When EBT benefits were voided, the Voided by Staff Name text and value label on the Benefit Details screen was blank for the voided benefit issuance. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to add the USERID column to the VOIDFOODINSTRUMENTEBT table, which updated the STAFFVOIDSTOLENID column on food instruments and displayed the correct staff member's name in the Voided by Staff Name text and value label on the following screens:
|
CDP-49 |
Generate EBT Household Reconciliation Report |
The Year masked edit box did not default to the current year on the Generate EBT Household Reconciliation Report screen. The State Office DFDD inaccurately stated that the Month drop-down list box on the Generate EBT Household Reconciliation Report screen defaulted to the month value of the CLOSEMONTHENDDT column of the PROCESSCONTROL table. |
The SPIRIT WIC system database was modified to default the Year masked edit box to the current year on the Generate EBT Household Reconciliation Report screen in the State Office application module. Additionally, the SPIRIT WIC DFDD was updated to resolve this issue. For more information, refer to the DFDD Changes for this release. |
CDP-51 |
EBT Error Messages |
The EBT error message codes and descriptions displayed in the SPIRIT WIC system did not match the codes and descriptions documented in the Universal Interface Data Elements Matrix of the DFDD. |
The SPIRIT WIC system database was modified to resolve these issues. For more information, refer to the Database Changes for this release. Additionally, the SPIRIT WIC DFDD was updated to resolve this issue. For more information, refer to the DFDD Changes for this release. |
CDP-52 |
UPC |
When updating the APL Type for multiple UPCs on the UPC screen, the Quantity and Package Size values also updated incorrectly. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to transmit the 'Package Size', 'Benefit Quantity' and 'ItemPrice' values as zero (0) when updating multiple UPCs on the UPC screen in the Reference Utility application module. This allows the UpdateMultipleUPCs script to skip these three (3) records since the values are not greater than zero (0), which subsequently also fixed an issue with the SQL for the Update UPCs script. |
CDP-77 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
A participant was listed as categorically ineligible for a pregnancy certification on the Batch Issue Resolution screen, but the same participant was listed as categorically ineligible for non-breastfeeding in the Participant Folder. |
The SPIRIT WIC system database was modified to resolve these issues. For more information, refer to the Database Changes for this release. |
CDP-78 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
Exclusively breastfed infants set for batch issuance who are old enough to receive benefits within a part of but not during the entire of the cycle were marked as "No" in the Ready to Issue column within the Batch Issue Resolution data grid on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
This reported issue was resolved as a result of changes made to the SPIRIT WIC system for CDP-39. |
CDP-80 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
Participants who were not eligible to receive benefits were displaying as search results on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to remove fully-breastfed infants who are not old enough to receive a 6-month benefit within the benefit issuance period from the search results displayed in the Batch Issue Resolution data grid on the following screens:
The SPIRIT WIC system now looks for infants ages two (2) to six (6) months of age group and determines whether they are eligible to receive future benefits. If eligible, the participant is displayed as a search result in the Batch Issue Resolution data grid; otherwise, the participant is not displayed. |
CDP-85 |
Risk Factors |
Risk factor 201 was incorrectly assigned during a breastfeeding certification when prior pregnancy data existed in the Participant Folder. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to include a validation to ensure that the participant's WIC category for the current certification attempt matches the blood work category when certifying a pregnant woman as breastfeeding via the Certification Guided Script in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-86 |
Batch Issue Resolution |
A participant who was eligible to receive benefits at the end of certification, but not benefits for the full number of months stated in the issuance frequency, was marked as "No" in the Ready to Issue column within the Batch Issue Resolution data grid on the Batch Issue Resolution screen. |
This reported issue was resolved as a result of changes made to the SPIRIT WIC system for CDP-39. |
CDP-88 |
Supplier Rebate Report FIN001 (Output) |
The Supplier Rebate Report FIN001 (Output) did not reflect the correct total units redeemed. |
The Excel spreadsheet output code for the Supplier Rebate Report FIN001 (Output) in the Financial Management application module of the SPIRIT WIC system was rewritten. The Crystal Reports output code was not modified. |
CDP-89 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
An error displayed during the EBT Household Change Guided Script process if a mailing address longer than thirty (30) characters was entered on the Create New Household screen, which ultimately resulted in a locked household and prevented the completion of the household ID change process. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to allow fifty (50) characters in the address controls on the Create New Household screen in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-90 |
Benefits History |
The Benefits History tab within the Participant Folder of the State Office application module did not display formula returns or recoveries. |
CDP verified that the SPIRIT WIC system is working as designed, and that the returns and recoveries were not displayed on the Benefits History tab within the Participant Folder of the State Office application module because the Food Delivery System for the State Office in the testing environment was not set to EBT-enabled on the Clinic screen in the Reference Utility application module. As a result, no code changes were made for this reported issue at this time. |
CDP-91 |
Aggregated Issuance for EBT Account |
The Aggregated Issuance for EBT Account screen displayed incorrect issuance dates for fully breastfed infants under six (6) months who had been changed to partially breastfed. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified so that the GetIssuancePrintedFDTU would no longer return a first date to use (FDTU) which was less than the previous month's last date to use (LDTU), which fixed the overlapping issuance dates displayed on the Aggregated Issuance for EBT Account screen in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-92 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
Errors displayed when using the Remove Current Benefits link to open the EBT Household Demographics screen during the EBT Household Change Guided Script process. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to use a boolean data type when opening the EBT Household Demographics screen to skip the card replacement process while deactivating an account during the EBT Household Change Guided Script process in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-95 |
EBT Household Demographics |
An error displayed when sending EBT data while transferring a participant who did not have a primary cardholder assigned within the household. |
A condition was added to skip the primary cardholder validation within the SPIRIT WIC system when opening the EBT Household Demographics screen during the participant transfer process in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-98 |
Certification Guided Script |
After the participant's WIC category was changed from "Breastfeeding" to "Pregnant", an error message displayed and prevented the saving of data on the Demographics sub-tab within the Certification Guided Script. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to change the AuthRepLastame reference in the code to match the pAuthRepLastName reference that exists in the stored procedure, which fixed the problem when saving demographics information during the Certification Guided Script in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-99 |
Income Calculator |
An Object Reference Error displayed when attempting to save an income record for a participant after clicking the Copy Items to Current Income button on the Income Calculator screen. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to update the ProcName called and parameter used on the Income Calculator screen in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-100 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
During the EBT Household Change Guided Script process, the date of birth was incorrectly populated with the former authorized representative's date of birth when creating a new household and removing cards. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to no longer open the EBT Household Demographics screen after completing the first step of the EBT Household Change Guided Script process in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-103 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
When the Void/Replace Benefits for EBT Account screen was displayed during the EBT Household Change Guided Script process, the authorized representative, proxy 1, and proxy 2 displayed incorrectly. |
The State WIC ID data grid on the Void/Replace Benefits for EBT Account screen in the SPIRIT WIC system was modified to update the value of the State WIC ID column for the authorized representative, proxy 1, and proxy 2. Additionally, the Primary Card Holder text and value label was updated to display the correct primary cardholder's information. |
CDP-105 |
UPC List |
The following error was displayed when attempting to open the UPC List screen in the Reference Utility application module: "Column 'UPCCD, STATECD' is constrained to be unique. Value 01541603, MN' is already present". |
CDP was unable to reproduce this issue, but determined that it was isolated to Minnesota's environment due to duplicate records which caused the conflict. The duplicate records were removed from Minnesota's environment and CDP has determined that this conflict will not occur again in the future. No modifications were made to the SPIRIT WIC system as a result of this reported issue. |
CDP-108 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
Authorized representative data was data being overwritten after completing the first step on the EBT Household Change Guided Script screen and saving data on the EBT Household Demographics screen in the Clinic application module. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to no longer open the EBT Household Demographics screen after completing the first step of the EBT Household Change Guided Script process in the Clinic application module. |
CDP-111 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
During the EBT Household Change Guided Script process, the date of birth was incorrectly populated for the authorized representative when creating a new household. |
The EBT Household Change Guided Script process in the Clinic application module of the SPIRIT WIC system was modified to clear the date of birth when creating a new household on the EBT Household Demographics screen. |
CDP-112 |
EBT Household Change Guided Script |
After completing the EBT Household Change Guided Script process, a child participant was incorrectly listed as the primary cardholder in WIC Direct even though the authorized representative was selected as primary cardholder in the SPIRIT WIC system. |
The EBT Household Change Guided Script process in the Clinic application module of the SPIRIT WIC system was modified to send the correct primary cardholder's information to WIC Direct when creating a new household on the EBT Household Demographics screen. |
CDP-113 |
Authorized Representative |
The SPIRIT WIC system prevented the user from updating authorized representative data on the AdditionalInfo2 sub-tab in the Participant Folder if the authorized representative was designated as the primary cardholder for the household. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to allow the primary cardholder's name to be updated on the AdditionalInfo2 sub-tab within the Participant Folder of the Clinic application module. However, the standard information message (I0077) will continue to display if the primary cardholder's name is left blank and the user attempts to save. |
CDP-115 |
End of Month |
When End of Month Processing timed out and the row in the MonthEndRestart table was manually deleted via SQL, the End of Month process could not be added to the schedule again because the Apply button was disabled on the WIC End of Month Administration screen. |
CDP determined that when End of Month Processing times out, the user must either set the latest ScheduledJobStatus.StatusCd to "0" or replace the missing MonthEndRestart row (with REQUIREDPROCESS='Y') to add End of Month to the schedule again on the WIC End of Month Administration screen in the Scheduled Job Administration application module. CDP has provided the following sample SQL to insert MonthEndRestart if it is missing ('Month End Completed' is process level 0. All other processes have a higher number, so all will run): INSERT INTO [MONTHENDRESTART] (ACKNOWLEDGERESTART, PROCESSNAME, REQUIREDPROCESS, PROCESSMONTHENDCCYYMM, INITIATEUSERID, INITIATEDTTM, PROCESSDTTM, CREATEUSERID, CREATEDTTM, MODIFYUSERID, MODIFYDTTM) Values (NULL, 'MONTH END COMPLETED', 'Y', '201511', 'XXXXX', '2016-01-11', NULL, 'BATCHUSER', '2014-05-11', 'BATCHUSER', '2014-05-18') No modifications were made to the SPIRIT WIC system as a result of this reported issue. |
CDP-117 |
DFDD |
In Appendix D of the DFDD, the definition for the JPMTRANSACTIONTYPE 208 Targeted Recovery in the EBT Transactions Matrix did not include "future benefits". |
The SPIRIT WIC DFDD was updated to resolve this issue. For more information, refer to the DFDD Changes for this release. |
TMP-144 |
Benefit Cycle Adjustment |
The changes made to the SPIRIT WIC system in release 2.21 for TMP-144 caused issuance problems because SPIRIT was suggesting sets of benefits for future months with a PFDTU on the 30th of the month, which is against cycle rules. Therefore, in release 2.25 with TTY-38, CDP backed out the code changes made in release 2.21 for TMP-144 and reworked the code for this release. |
The SPIRIT WIC system was modified to replace the TMP-144 code that was removed with TTY-38. The code was researched thoroughly and the following new classes were created to calculate the dates and extract the code from the DetermineBenefitPeriod function of the Checkprocess:
By creating these new classes and extracting the code, CDP was able to test the code programmatically. In the future, the separation of Rolling month and monthly code should prevent changes in one section from causing issues in the other. |
The table below documents changes made to the SPIRIT WIC Detailed Functional Design Document (DFDD) for this release of the software.
