The Users menu provides access to functions that are common to the Security (Users) mode of the WIC Management Console screen and allows users to add, edit, delete or view the details of user profile information. Upon successful completion of the Add, Edit, or Delete functions on the menu, the data grid is refreshed when the user is returned the WIC Management Console screen.
The Users menu is visible and enabled when:
The WIC Management Console screen is active in Security (Users) mode.
It has a mnemonic of "U".
If you do not have sufficient permission to access a menu option on the Users menu, a standard error message (E0006) displays when the menu option is selected.
Unless otherwise stated below, all menu options on the Users menu are visible and enabled when:
The Users menu is active.
If one or more special conditions exist that affect a menu option on the Users menu, the condition(s) are documented for that specific menu option below.
Details menu option
Select this menu option to view the details of the user profile for the record currently selected in the data grid.
It has a mnemonic of "T".
To perform this function, the user must have a minimum access level of "View" to the "Security Users" feature of the "Management Console" feature group.
The User Profile screen displays in Details mode when the menu option is selected.
Add menu option
Select this menu option to add a record to the data grid.
It has a mnemonic of "A".
To perform this function, the user must have a minimum access level of "Add" to the "Security Users" feature of the "Management Console" feature group.
The User Profile screen displays in Add mode when the menu option is selected.
Edit menu option
Select this menu option to update information for the record currently selected in the data grid.
It has a mnemonic of "E".
To perform this function, the user must have a minimum access level of "Full" to the "Security Users" feature of the "Management Console" feature group.
The User Profile screen displays in Edit mode when the menu option is selected.
Delete menu option
Select this menu option to delete the record currently selected in the data grid.
It has a mnemonic of "D".
To perform this function, the user must have a minimum access level of "Full" to the "Security Users" feature of the "Management Console" feature group.
A standard confirmation message displays when the menu option is selected.
Upon selection of the menu option, the system displays the C0004 standard confirmation message. The options of Yes and No are available. If the user clicks Yes, the system attempts to delete the record from the database. The contents on the data grid on the calling screen are refreshed. If the user clicks No, the system returns to the calling screen without deleting the selected record.
If the user being deleted creates records or modifies records in the database when Yes is clicked on the standard confirmation message documented above, the system displays the E0007 standard error message.
