Determine Potential Duplicate Applicant/Participant

Contents Show

Business Rule: SHOWDUPPARTICIPANT

When a user enters a new applicant on the Applicant Prescreening screen, the system can automatically search all participants in the database and determine if the applicant being added is potentially a duplicate of an existing participant. The system displays the Potential Duplicate Applicant/Participant screen and lists existing records matching certain criteria of the newly entered applicant. The user is then given the opportunity to complete the prescreening (this would indicate that no duplicate exists) or they can dismiss the prescreening attempt and use the existing participant record instead (this would indicate a duplicate record was identified).

The business rule enables the state to define whether the system will automatically determine if an applicant is potentially a duplicate of an existing participant.
