Business Rule: CLN_ALLOW_UNKNOWN_BIRTH_HT_WT
In the SPIRIT WIC system, users can record birth information including the birth height and birth weight on the Child Health Information screen within the Participant Folder and the Certification Guided Script in the Clinic application module. For a variety of reasons, the authorized representative of a household may not know the birth information of a household member. For these cases, the SPIRIT WIC system allows the state to determine whether unknown values are allowed for birth data by clicking the Unknown Birth Criteria check box and disabling all other fields within the Birth Information group box.
The business rule enables the state to define whether unknown values are allowed for birth data.

The Unknown Birth Criteria check box is visible and enabled in the Birth Information group box on the Child Health Information screen within the Participant Folder and the Certification Guided Script in the Clinic application module. When this check box is selected, all other controls in the Birth Information group box are disabled and the system will not process the edits for required fields. When this check box is not selected, the system will process the edits for required fields. Additionally, the Unknown Birth Criteria check box is visible in the Birth Information group box on the following screens in the following application modules:
