Drop-down List

The drop-down list box control is a closed box containing options that can be selected by the user. These options are pre-defined and read-only. The options in most drop-down list boxes are established in the Reference Dictionary. Only one item in the drop-down list box can be selected.

Select an item in the drop-down list box control by clicking the down arrow to display the list of options. Options in the drop-down list box are typically sorted alphabetically in ascending order. Instances in which the sort order varies are documented in the description of the specific control. For all non-required drop-down list boxes, a blank (NULL) option is included, allowing the control to be cleared.
