A new version of the WIC EBT Middleware (WEM) software is available with this release. This version contains the following code updates:

DT19 Invalid Card # Error Returns on Reset Failed Debit Instead of Reactivating the Deactivated Card (Adding new unlock functionality for WEM).
With this release of the software, changes must be made manually to the WEM Configuration Manager to support new functionality in the SPIRIT WIC system for states operating in the EBT_OFFLINE environment mode.
To select the SWEM-SC check box in the WEM Configuration Manager, complete the following steps:
1. Open the WEM Configuration Manager on the WEM server.
2. Select your state's environment in the Configuration tree list.
3. Select the Universal Service tab.
4. Select the SWEM-SC check box.

Users wanted a Reset Failed Debit process to reset Smart Card benefits that are out of sync with the EBT Processor. To accommodate this enhancement request, the following changes were made to the Clinic application module within the SPIRIT WIC system:
Additionally, a new standard information message (I0083) was added when users click the Food Adjustment Wizard menu option on the Benefit Management menu. For more information, see the database changes for this enhancement. To configure the environment to support this function, the following manual change must be made in WEM Configuration Manager:
