Benefits (Issue Benefits)

Food Prescription (Issue Benefits)

SPIRIT allowed issuance of a one-year old package (whole or 2% milk) to a two-year old who should've been receiving 1% or skim milk. SPIRIT did not require a food prescription dated for the second birthday.

SPIRIT should have required a food prescription dated the second birthday, and should have displayed an appropriate warning/error message when issuing benefits for the participant.

The GetAgeCategoryBasedOnSpecificDate was refactored incompletely. A constant should have been a variable. The constant was changed to a variable.

SPIRIT now displays the appropriate message if the user attempts to issue benefits for a child over 2 years of age and the following conditions exist:

  • No valid Child 2 - 3 food prescription exists for the participant, and

  • The child is not designated to receive food package III, which does allow the issuance of whole milk to children over 2 years of age.
