Sending Online Price Surveys

In this scenario, you will use the Vendor Online Price Survey application to search for and select a group of vendors to receive an online price survey.

Note

NOTE: Select the Site Help menu option at any time to access help for the current application screen. Each screen's help topic explains the screen's function and describes its content.

Complete the following steps to perform this scenario:

1.        Enter the URL for your state assigned Vendor Online Price Survey web page in your web browser.

NOTE: This scenario can be started through the Vendor application by completing the following steps:

  • Display the Vendor List screen.

  • Select Price Survey from the Vendor List menu. Your web browser launches. Go to step 2.

2.        The Online Price Survey screen displays.

3.        From the Online Price Survey menu, select Send Vendor Invitations/Print Price Surveys or Send Corporate Parent Invitations. The Send Vendor Invitations/Print Price Surveys or Send Corporate Parent Invitations screen displays.

4.        Search for vendors or corporate parents by completing one or more of the following options:

  1. Vendor ID

  2. Stamp Number

  3. Vendor Name

  4. Peer Group

  5. Store Type

  6. County

  7. Corporate Parent Name

  8. Headquarters ID

5.        Click the Search button. The Search Results data grid is refreshed to display vendors or corporate parents that match your search criteria.

Note

NOTE: If no vendors or corporate parents were displayed in the data grid or if you want to conduct another search, change search criteria and click search to display different results.

6.        Check the check box beside one or multiple vendors or corporate parents in this data grid to send invitations.

Note

NOTE: You can check the check box in the column heading to select all the vendors displayed within the Vendor Search Results data grid.

7.        Check the Use Previous Price(s) check box to use the previously submitted price survey for a vendor, if necessary.

8.        Select a template from the drop-down list box.

9.        Click Send Invitation.

Note

NOTE: Once Send Invitation is clicked, a note is added to the Notes tab in the Vendor Folder for each vendor that was selected in the Vendor Search Results data grid to indicate that a price survey was sent.
