The Statewide Education Summary Report NUT001 (Output) summarizes the compliance versus non-compliance counts for those participants whose certification end date is within the reported period. Participants that are terminated before the end of their certification are not included in the totals. Participants are grouped based on their category at the time of the certification.
The report is generated when the OK button is clicked on the Generate Statewide Education Summary screen.
A participant is considered compliant if the participant meets the following selection criteria.
The participant had a certification end date within the report period.
The certification was not ended early by a termination.
The participant received two or more nutrition education contacts within the certification period where the contact topics were other than "No-show" or "Refusal".
A participant is considered non-compliant if the participant meets the following selection criteria.
The participant had a certification end date within the report period.
The certification was not ended early by a termination.
The participant did not receive at least two nutrition education contacts within the certification period where the contact topics were other than "No-show" or "Refusal".
If more than one nutrition education contact is recorded in one day, it will count as only one education contact. Contact topics for "No-show" or "Refusal" are not included in the contact count.
This section describes the data elements that print on the system output. Because of space constraints, the layout may be slightly different and/or all characters may not print within the space allotted.

This is an accounting month and year formatted as Month Name CCYY.

When reporting agency data, the agency code and description will be printed.
When reporting state data, the text description of "State Total" will be printed.

The participant count value is calculated by counting the number of participants with certification end dates within the previous quarter that have received two or more nutrition education contacts within their certification period. If a participant was terminated before their certification end date, the participant is not included in the total.

Participants with a certification end date within the reported period are included. Participants that are terminated before their certification end date are not included. Participants are counted in either the compliant or non-compliant totals. Participants must meet the following selection criteria to be included in either count.
CertEndDate column of the CertContact table is between the start and stop dates. The stop date is the last day of the selected month. The start date is the first day of the month six months prior. (Example: if March 2010 is selected, the start date is Oct 1, 2009 and the stop date is March 31, 2010.)
For the selected CertContact records, the CertTermDate column is either null or is greater than the CertEndDate column.
Participants are counted in the compliant total if they meet the following additional selection criteria.
Participant had nutrition education contacts on two or more dates within the certification period for the following:
The ContactMethod column of the EducationContact table equals "1" (Individual) and the ContactType column of the EducationContact table equals "1" (Primary) and the NoShow column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y" and the Refused column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y".
The ContactMethod column of the EducationContact table equals "2" (Group) and the NoShow column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y" and the Refused column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y".
Participants are counted in the non-compliant total if they meet the following additional selection criteria.
Participant did not have nutrition education contacts on two or more dates within the certification period for the following:
The ContactMethod column of the EducationContact table equals "1" (Individual) and the ContactType column of the EducationContact table equals "1" (Primary) and the NoShow column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y" and the Refused column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y".
The ContactMethod column of the EducationContact table equals "2" (Group) and the NoShow column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y" and the Refused column of the EducationContact table does not equal "Y".
Data for hidden agencies will not be included.
Note 1: Only the date portion of the CertEndDate and CertTermDate columns is used. The time portion is not used.
Note 2: If a participant has multiple certifications where the CertEndDate column of the CertContact table is within the reported period, the participant will be counted for each certification. (In this case each certification will have a different CertStartDate value on the CertContact table.)
Participants are counted in the category, agency and clinic from the CertContact record for the selected certification. In the case of pseudo certifications, the participant is counted in the category, agency and clinic of the first CertContact record for the selected certification period.
If an individual agency is selected, summary data for that agency will be included. If the state is selected, summary data for the state level will be included. If all is selected, data for all agencies and state will be selected in the following sequence.

This report will be sorted by the clinic name within agency.
Totals for the agency will be printed.
State totals are printed on one-line, similar to agency totals.
This report can be generated on demand and will be generated twice yearly during the month-end process for the months of March and September, if the report is selected by the state.
