The WIC Closeout Summary Report FIN021 (Output) reflects the final disposition (status) of checks so that the final bank reconciliation can be completed. The report also provides a summary by WIC category showing a count of checks redeemed, the value of the redeemed checks, and the average value per check.

The report is generated when the OK button is clicked on the Generate WIC Closeout Summary Report screen.

Data Elements

This section describes the data elements that print on the system output. Because of space constraints, the layout may be slightly different and/or all characters may not print within the space allotted.

Month of

Origin of Data Element

The user records this value when the report is submitted. During the month-end process this is the CCYYMM value from the CloseMonthEndDt attribute of the ProcessControl table.

Format

This is an accounting month and year formatted as Month Name CCYY.

Clinic / Agency / State Total

Origin of Data Element

The selection criteria and information being reported determine this value.

Format

This is a fifty-character text field. The format is determined by the information being reported.

Number of Checks Redeemed - Women

Origin of Data Element

This value is a count of food instruments selected for the report that have a not null value in the PaidDate attribute of the FoodInstrument table and a value of "P", "B", or "N" in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is a six-digit number with no decimal places.

Number of Checks Redeemed - Children

Origin of Data Element

This value is a count of food instruments selected for the report that have a not null value in the PaidDate attribute of the FoodInstrument table and a value of "C" in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is a six-digit number with no decimal places.

Number of Checks Redeemed - Infants

Origin of Data Element

This value is a count of food instruments selected for the report that have a not null value in the PaidDate attribute of the FoodInstrument table and a value of "I", or "F" in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is a six-digit number with no decimal places.

Number of Checks Redeemed - Unmatched

Origin of Data Element

This value is a count of food instruments selected for the report that have a not null value in the PaidDate attribute of the FoodInstrument table and a null value in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is a six-digit number with no decimal places.

Number of Checks Redeemed - Total

Origin of Data Element

This value is the sum of the counts of all checks redeemed for women, children, infants, and unmatched.

Format

This is a seven-digit number with no decimal places.

Value of Checks Redeemed - Women

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from summing the PaidAmt attribute of the FoodInstrument table for checks selected for the report that have either a "P", "B", or "N" in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is an eight-digit number plus two decimal places.

Value of Checks Redeemed - Children

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from summing the PaidAmt attribute of the FoodInstrument table for checks selected for the report that have a "C" in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is an eight-digit number plus two decimal places.

Value of Checks Redeemed - Infants

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from summing the PaidAmt attribute of the FoodInstrument table for checks selected for the report that have either an "I" or "F" in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

This is an eight-digit number plus two decimal places.

Value of Checks Redeemed - Unmatched

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from summing the PaidAmt attribute of the FoodInstrument table for checks selected for the report that have a null value in the WICStatus attribute of the FoodInstrumentSet table.

Format

This is an eight-digit number plus two decimal places.

Value of Checks Redeemed - Total

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from summing the value of checks redeemed for women, children, infants, and unmatched for the report.

Format

This is a nine-digit number plus two decimal places.

Average Value per Check - Women

Origin of Data Element

This value is calculated by dividing the Value of Checks Redeemed - Women by the Number of Checks Redeemed - Women.

Format

This is a four-digit number plus two decimal places.

Average Value per Check - Children

Origin of Data Element

This value is calculated by dividing the Value of Checks Redeemed - Children by the Number of Checks Redeemed - Children.

Format

This is a four-digit number plus two decimal places.

Average Value per Check - Infants

Origin of Data Element

This value is calculated by dividing the Value of Checks Redeemed - Infants by the Number of Checks Redeemed - Infants.

Format

This is a four-digit number plus two decimal places.

Average Value per Check - Unmatched

Origin of Data Element

This value is calculated by dividing the Value of Checks Redeemed - Unmatched by the Number of Checks Redeemed - Unmatched.

Format

This is a four-digit number plus two decimal places.

Average Value per Check - Total

Origin of Data Element

This value is calculated by dividing the Value of Checks Redeemed Total by the Number of Checks Redeemed - Total.

Format

This is a four-digit number plus two decimal places.

Total Number of Checks Lost/Stolen

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from counting the number of checks selected for the report that meet the following selection criteria.

Format

This is a six-digit number.

Total Number of Checks Voided

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from counting the number of checks selected for the report that meet the following selection criteria.

Format

This is a six-digit number.

Total Number of Checks Unredeemed

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from counting the number of checks selected for the report that meet the following selection criteria. It represents the number of checks selected for the report that have been de-obligated.

Format

This is a six-digit number.

Total Count of All Checks

Origin of Data Element

This value comes from summing the counts of number of checks redeemed, number of checks lot/stolen, number of checks voided, and total checks unredeemed.

Format

This is an eight-digit number.

Filter Criteria

Base of Data

Food instruments that meet the following selection criteria are included in the report.

Paid Without Issuance Data (no agency/clinic)

Participation Detail

Sort Order

Agency ID

The report is sorted first by Agency ID.

Clinic ID

The report will be sorted by the Clinic ID within Agency ID.

Control Breaks

A page break will occur on change in clinic/agency. Clinic totals will print on a change in clinic. Agency totals will print on a change in agency.

Grand Total

State totals will be printed.

Frequency and Distribution

This system output is generated on demand. If selected by the state, this system output is also generated during the month-end process.
