The Peer Counselor Contact Frequency - Breastfeeding Report CLN027 (Output) summarizes the types of contacts that each peer counselor made for postpartum women during a given date range. The report is generated when the OK button is clicked on the Generate Peer Counselor Contact Frequency - Breastfeeding Report screen.

Origin of Data Element

This is the the FirstName, MiddleInitial and LastName columns of the BFCounselor table for the counselor. A participant may be contacted by more than one peer counselor. In this case, the participant is listed on the report with each peer counselor.

Format

The FirstName is a 20-character value. The MiddleInitial is a one-character value. The LastName is a 25-character value. The text is formatted as "Last, First MI.".

This is the ActDelivDate column of the Postpartum table for selected participants.

Number of Peer Counselor Contacts Made Within:

This is the number of Peer Counselor Contacts made to the Breastfeeding Woman during the time period after delivery as indicated in the column heading. For example, if a participant is contacted by the peer counselor 1 day after the date of delivery, the contact is counted in the total for column "0-2D" on the report.

• Contacts are tracked by the number of times the user records a contact in the "Add Peer Counselor Contact" screen in the activities dropdown of the participant record. Each add of breastfeeding peer counselor contact creates a new record in the BFCounselorContact table with a unique BFCounselorContactID value. The totals by BFCounselorContactID represent the number of contacts for the participant, not the contact date.

• When multiple topics are selected, there is still only 1 contact recorded.

• More than 1 contact can be made on a given day (i.e. the peer counselor may first contact the participant by phone, then later make a home visit- this would be 2 contacts on 1 day). Each contact results in a unique BFCounselorContactID value on the BFCounselorContact table.

• The peer counselor may discuss multiple topics at each contact- this does not change the number of contacts.

Filter Criteria

Base of Data

Postpartum women that meet the following selection criteria are included in the report (data for hidden agencies will not be included):

• The ActDelivDate column of the Postpartum table falls within selected From Date and To Date, inclusive

• The woman had at least one breastfeeding peer counselor contact on or after the actual delivery date. (At least one record on the BFCounselorContact table where contact date is greater than or equal to actual delivery date.)

Participant Selection

• If participant selection equals Breastfeeding, the WICStatus column of Member table must equal "B".

• If participant selection equals Non-breastfeeding, WICStatus column of Member table = "N".

• If participant selection equals Breastfeeding and Non-breastfeeding, the WICStatus column of Member table must equal "B" or "N".

Clinic, agency, grantee, state

• If clinic report, AgencyID and ServiceSiteID columns of the Member table equal selected agency/clinic ID(s).

• If agency report, AgencyID column of the Member table equals the selected agency ID.

• If grantee report, AgencyID column of the Member table equals on of the AgencyID column of the GranteeClinic tablefor the selected grantee.

• If state report, hidden agencies are not included.

Sort Order

This report will be sorted by clinic, agency, grantee (if applicable) and state, depending on selection criteria of the report.

Participant Name (Last, First MI)

Within clinic/agency/grantee/state, the report is sorted by participant name (last, first MI).

State WIC ID

Within participant name, the report is sorted by state WIC ID.

Peer Counselor (Last, First MI)

Within state WIC ID, the report is sorted by peer counselor (last , first, MI).

Control Breaks

A page break will occur on change in clinic, agency or grantee.
