Business Rule: INCOMEVIEWFREQ

The SPIRIT WIC system enables the state to define whether a Household's total income amount displays a Yearly, Monthly, or Weekly value.

Income amounts that contribute to a Household's income total are entered on the Income Line Item screen. Users add income amounts by selecting one of several Payment Frequencies and entering the associated income information. The Payment Frequency options are:

Once a user adds one or more income line items (individual entries), the Total Amount Per (Year, Month, or Week) displays separately for the Household. The state can define whether this total displays a Yearly, Monthly, or Weekly value.

Note, the defaulted values for several other fields on the Income Line Item screen are influenced by how this business rule is set. Defaulted values for the following fields are adjusted to make the calculation of a Household's total income amount possible:

The business rule enables the state to define whether income line items are defaulted by year, month, or week. According to FNS guidance, the business rule must be set to a value of "1".
