Customize the EBT Connection Timeout

Business Rule: EBT_CONNECTION_TIMEOUT

In the SPIRIT WIC system, a connection is established with the EBT Processor system at times to communicate data to the EBT Processor system and to keep the participant data stored within the EBT Processor system and the SPIRIT WIC system in sync.

Occasionally, the connection between the EBT Processor system and the SPIRIT WIC system may experience technical difficulties and a time-out may occur. To control the duration of time allowed during the connection attempt, the SPIRIT WIC system allows the state to define the connection time-out period for EBT communications.

This business rule allows the state to define the connection time-out period for EBT communications between SPIRIT and the EBT Processor system. The value specified for the time-out period is in minutes. Any whole number between one (1) and sixty (60) can be entered.
