Business Rule: EBT_AGENCY_BIN
In the SPIRIT WIC system, agencies are assigned a unique identification number. Once assigned, these agency identification numbers are used throughout the SPIRIT WIC system to identify a specific agency on various screens and system outputs.
The SPIRIT WIC system also supports the use of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards for benefit redemption at various vendor locations. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards also have a unique identifier, known as a Primary Account Number (PAN).
Some states may prefer the agency identification number to be used on the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. As a result, the SPIRIT WIC system allows the state to specify whether the agency identification number is used on EBT cards.
This business rule enables the state to define whether the agency identification number is used on EBT cards.
