SPIRIT WIC Client Installation Guide

In 2002, 13 Indian Tribal Organizations (ITOs) in the southwest region of the United States formed a consortium to support the next generation of automation for clinic operations and State agency administration of the WIC. The consortium developed the Successful Partners in Reaching Innovative Technology (SPIRIT) information system to transfer to other WIC state agencies, to eliminate duplication, and to streamline the implementation process. SPIRIT was the first State Agency Model (SAM) developed after an initiative by FNS -- as directed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) -- to plan, develop, and deploy model Management Information Systems (MIS) to support State agencies.

NOTE: The client installation path for the SPIRIT WIC MIS software varies based on the operating system installed on the client machine. The install.bat automatically defaults the target directory based on the operating system installed on the client machine. The file paths for operating systems supported are listed below.

Installation path for Windows 10:

C:\Users\Public\CSC\

Installation path for Windows 7:

C:\Users\Public\CSC\

Installation path for Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\CSC\

Please note that the paths for Windows 7 and Windows 10 are the same (C:\Users\Public\CSC\).
